Sochaux vs Lille

Sochaux is in really bad condition right now and the team keeps losing positions. The team won just two points in their last eight league games (0-2-6) and is currently on 19th place in the table. This weekend they have really tough game at home against the champions Lille and I honestly can’t see them getting something from this match. Sochaux also have big problems with missing players. Ryan Boudebouz (19/5), Teddy Richert (19/0), Loic Poujol (7/0), Modibo Maiga (12/4) and Rafael Dias (2/0) are all unavailable for this weekend.

After three games without a win (0-2-1) in the last weekend Lille finally managed to get the three points again, winning at home against St. Etienne (3:0). Now Rudi Garcia and his players will try to make it two in a row against the poor Sochaux. Lille is currently on third position, but just one point ahead of Lyon and four behind second Montpelier. The team is doing well both at home (6-3-1) and as visitors (4-5-1), but their away form is not so good recently (only one win in their last five away games). Goalscorer Moussa Sow was sold last weekend, but the good news for the champs is that Hazard is going to stay with the club until the end of the season. Lille also bought striker Nolan Roux from Brest and the player even managed to score twice in his first game for the club. Marco Basa (13/2) and Tulio de Melo (4/0) remain unavailable.

Lille without any question is the more capable team. The champions will fight until the end and will try to finish at least in the top three at the end of the season. Sochaux on other hand is on a free fall right now and I really can’t see how the team will manage to bounce back and avoid relegation this season. Five of the last seven visits for Lille at “Auguste-Bonal” finished with no winner (1-5-1), but the situation now is completely different and the champions will get the three points in this game.
